The product, in the report: Super Switch, manufactured by King Sound Enterprise Co., LTD for Blackstone International, LTD. The product consists of 3 outlet adapters and a remote control unit which enables the on off switching of the electric at an outlet via remote control. I have had the unit for about a year but it has only been in use for approximately 6 months. This past weekend i was in my garage where the unit was controlling a light fixture through an outlet, the light started flickering when i inspected the plug the Super Switch unit was glowing orange with an internal fire. I quickly yanked the unit out of the outlet and burned my hand on melted plastic. I do not intend to be overly dramatic but had i not been in the room while this happened i believe there is a very high risk that there could have been a catastrophic outcome. I have found absolutely no way to contact either King sound or Blackstone in regards to reporting the safety issue or pursuing reimbursement.
