  • No one hurt 1 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Nov 29, 2017, sent to the company Mar 21, 2018, published by CPSC Apr 5, 2018

The product, in the report: “Pipeman’s” “Protect ELE” surge protector. See on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J4NYQNG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Smelled burnt plastic and noticed hole burnt through side of surge protector. Used surge protector for about one month with 1200 watt microwave. Not sure if it happened while in use and stunk up room after words or was burning without power applied to microwave? Product is advertised to handle 1800 watts for “Televisions, Video Game Consoles, Computers, Audio Systems, Microwave Ovens and other Small Appliances.” Opened surge protector and see circuit board is burnt leading to the outer wall of device where it burnt hole. I can mail it to your office if needed.
