While using the power strip today, the USB-C port suddenly began to smoke and melt, creating a visible burn mark on the exterior casing. This happened spontaneously during normal use. The heat was intense enough to melt the plastic housing, posing a severe fire hazard. Fortunately, I noticed it before a fire broke out, but it could have easily caused a house fire if left unattended.
