The product, in the report: Multi-Outlet, Electrical “Relocatable Power Tap”
We purchased two General Electric plug-in multi-outlets two weeks ago from Target. My son plugged his cellphone charger into one of them and the additional GE outlet spit a flame, burning and electrocuting him. He has a burn on his index finger and one on his thumb. There is smoke residue on the GE product itself. My son said the GE outlet shot out a flame and a spark, electrocuting and burning him.
His room smelled of burning flesh and hair. His finger and thumb are charred with cuts on them.
The outlet had no other devices plugged in and the circuit breaker light was still on. Again, this was a brand new electrical item and the phone charger plugs into the wall outlet without incident.
We photographed his injuries and still have the electrical product.
Who can I complain to? I have not contacted Target or General Electric but this product is unsafe, there is something wrong.
