No one hurt Made May 31, 2022, sent to the company Jun 3, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 21, 2022
The product, in the report: Dynex 6-outlet home theater surge protector strip, black, 4’ power cord, 1.3’ x 3.9’ x 11.3’
The product was plugged in as normal to an outlet, and only one thing was plugged in. There was an odd smell near the outlet and we found that the product had blown up causing a small fire that was put out on its own, without anyone knowing. We were out of town at the time and left our dogs at home and they could have been hurt. It also caused smoke damage to at least our wall and that’s just what we have found so far.
