No one hurt Made Dec 27, 2019, sent to the company Feb 5, 2020, published by CPSC Feb 20, 2020
The product, in the report: 3 1/2 x 6 inch white, 6 prong, 4 USB surge protector, manufactured by Litesun. model LA-5A-4
The surge protector was plugged into the wall with only 3 items plugged in. There was a flash and sparks and smoke with black soot noted on the wall above. The 2 prong cord was black and melted along with 2 of the sockets, and all of the other outlets and charger ports appeared to have black smoke emitting. The plugged in items were off at the time, this happened at midnight and thankfully my house did not burn down.
