The product, in the report: Graco Sarah Classic Crib. Serial Number 0765812 PO#6527 Manufactured may 10, 2011 Distributed by Lajobi Inc.

We purchased the Graco Sarah Classic crib 2 years ago when our son was born. We purchased it it to replace a recalled crib because this one was supposedly up to new higher safety standards. A few days ago, when our son demonstrated the ability to climb out of the crib, we converted the crib to a toddler bed, following the instructions that came with the crib. There were no problems noted at that time. The next morning upon waking we discovered that the wooden stretcher/stabilizer bar had SNAPPED during the night. This created a bed that was structurally unsound and exposed our young child to sharp, splintered, spear-like pieces of wood.

The manufacturer cannot be reached to report or discuss this issues. Multiple calls are met with the recording “due to high call volume, please try again another time” and the call is then disconnected on their end.
