The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Jan 24, 2022, sent to the company Feb 10, 2022, published by CPSC Feb 25, 2022

The product, in the report: 24” tall, 4 leg, metal, folding stool

The stool is at the consumer’s winter home, so it’s not used often.

The consumer was sitting on the stool for approximately 10 minutes when it collapsed. Part of the metal (2 pins that protrude, but are welded to the stool), actually broke. The part, where the seat attaches to the frame is the part that broke. The 74 year old consumer sustained a small cut near the achillies tendeon on his left ankle. He also sustained an injury to his left shoulder, where he could not move it for a while.

The consumer landed on the floor, that is divided between linoleum and carpet. He treated his injuries at home and will not need to see a doctor.

He has purchased a total 3 identical stools. He has 2 at his winter home and 1 at his permanent home, but has not experienced any problems with the others.
