The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: 7 foot ladder

The consumer says he was putting a new roof on his shed. He had ladder standing on flat ground. He was on the third step up when he reached over the top of the ladder when the front left leg scooted underneath the ladder. Consumer says he fell down to a dirty chicken yard. He says the dust from it went inside his brusied lungs. The consumer says he went to the hospital and they diagnosed him with bacterial pneumonia due to the incident. The consumer contacted the manufacturer who gave him a form to fill out. He filled out the form and sent it back. They told him that there is nothing wrong with the ladder and that there is nothing they can do.
