The product, in the report: WESTWARD 44YY49 Extension Ladder, Fiberglass, 28 ft. , Type IA
I bought a brand new extension ladder to climb onto the roof of my house. I placed it on the concrete walkway. It is a 28 foot ladder but the roof is only maybe 10 feet at the gutter. When I stepped back onto the ladder from the roof to come back down the feet of the ladder slipped out and I fell straight down feet first. My right foot entangled on the rung of the ladder and when it hit the floor it shattered my heel. I also fractured my lower back and obtained lots of bruising from landing ontop of the fallen ladder.
