The product, in the report: Telescoping Ladder 12.5 FT Extension Telescopic Ladders - Lightweight Aluminum Portable Best for Multi-Use in Home Attic & RV Work Expandable Retractable - Foldable with One Button Collapsible Folding https://www.amazon.com/OxGord-Aluminum-Telescopic-Extension-Telescope/dp/B01JY9QAPQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Collapsible ladder. This product can collapse (retract) on you. The retraction mechanism is on the underside of each rung, so if an upper section retracts it will fall onto the next rungs retraction switches and cascade down until you hit the ground with your feet slammed between two rungs or legs broken or whatever else could happen when you are tangled in an aluminum frame while falling from 12 feet up. If you are safely on the ground and try to collapse the ladder the same sort of things happens and it comes down on your hands like a bear trap. The ladder is very difficult to extend if it is not pulled out perfectly parallel. It will jam up and when you try to get it unstuck it will suddenly pop free and then collapse on you. The entire ladder must be extended for it to not collapse on you. You may think you have each section locked in place, however the switch mechanisms do not indicate if they have locked in place or not. You will usually hear an audible click although sometimes you don’t and when you push and pull on the rung to see if it has locked into place it will not be locked and suddenly collapse on you, crushing your hand.
