The product, in the report: 17ft Telescoping Multi Ladder Dual-Funt Professional Telescopic J Locks Step NEW
On November 5th I took delivery of an unbranded 17 foot telescoping Aluminum ladder purchased online from ebay for $100.00. It looked to be good quality but was very light and most of the half inch cartoon like warning symbols including the weight limit were unreadable. The add for the ladder on ebay did not give the weight limit either. The first time I used it I extended it to full length (about 15 feet) and when I reached the forth or fifth rung it collapsed, throwing me to the ground. I was VERY lucky and managed to land on my feet. The top of the lower legs had spread apart and released the locking pins and caused one lower leg of the center section to break off. I have been using all kinds of ladders for 50 years and have never had one collapse. They are selling a lot of these and someone is going to be killed. The name of the seller on ebay is hd-tool , 280 Machlin Ct. loading Dock 28 in City of Industry, Ca. 91789-3026
