Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Emergency room

Made Jul 24, 2012, sent to the company Aug 9, 2012, published by CPSC Aug 23, 2012

The product, in the report: Full-size metal bed frame with headboard and footboard attachment. There is no sticker or name that I can see on the metal frame, but there was a visible sticker on the footboard, of which I entered the info below.

My son was playing in the bedroom where my mom has a full-size bed with a metal bed frame. Since we were not in the room, we’re not exactly sure if he fell off the bed or was trying to climb onto the bed, but basically, there is a part of the metal bed frame that sticks out about an inch or two from the bed near the footboard and my son gashed his leg open on it. We took him to the emergency room where he got 5 stitches to close up the wound. My mom has since hung towels over the metal pieces to try to keep another accident from occuring.
