The product, in the report: Tatami room natural finish platform bed.

I purchased a tatami room bed a few months ago.

It has a very strong smell. My girlfriend moved in this week and the smell from the bed is making her sick. If the bedroom Windows are closed during the day she gets a headache when in the bedroom at night.

We decided to move the bed frame out of the bedroom. When we disassembled the bed frame to move it outside the house, we both got a headache. I got a red, itchy rash where my bare arms contacted the wood of the bed frame as I was moving it outside.

Now that the bed is out of the bedroom, we experience no further effects at night.

I love the look of the bed but am concerned about the health effects. It can’t be in the house with us.
