The product, in the report: ReFramed bed frame/bed system with slatted mattress support base. The product was purchased for normal residential use as a bed frame to support a mattress. It was delivered and assembled through white-glove installation. The product includes a frame and individual/supporting slats. My unit was the green King Size Michel Bed with Headboard, purchased from Design Within Reach (https://www.dwr.com/) on or about 05-Jan-2026. The safety concern involves the slatted support system: during normal use, the slats repeatedly dropped out of the frame/support area, causing the mattress platform to collapse or partially collapse.
I purchased and used a ReFramed bed frame/bed system with slats. The bed was delivered and assembled through white-glove installation. During normal home use, the slats repeatedly dropped out of the frame/support area, causing the bed platform to collapse or partially collapse. This happened despite professional assembly and normal intended use. The issue appears to be a design or retention failure because the slats do not stay securely in place. This created a risk that a person using the bed could fall, be injured, or be struck/pinched by collapsing parts. It could also crash down on a person or animal beneath. I returned the product because it did not remain structurally secure during ordinary use. What is a concern is that many reviews online claim the same thing. Additionally, the owner or employees of this company report real reviews to get them taken down while leaving fake positive reviews. I believe this bedframe is a real danger and the company is deceptively hiding that from consumers.
