The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Sea Grass Heaboard, King size from Pier 1 #2454075

I purchased a headboard from Pier 1 last June, started using it in July and began having fatigue and sinus issues. By October, I was having massive headaches, extreme fatigue, and many serious neurological issues such as facial twitching, eye spasms, changes in vision, inability to concentrate, mild depression and moodiness. Due to the lack of sleep and the issues I was experiencing, my immune system crashed to the point of not being able to function. During the process of elimination, we mold tested our house (found no mold) and I began daily IVs to try to mitigate my worsening immune issues. I finally figured out it was the headboard based on the fact that whenever I would sleep elsewhere, my symptoms would improve greatly. One of my doctors suspected Formaldehyde. As soon as I removed the headboard from the room, my symptoms improved and within a week, the headaches and neurological issues have cleared up. I am still repairing my immune system but feeling much better already.
