The product, in the report: bed headboard
I am concerned with the safety of a twin sized headboard made by Fashion Bed Group in Chicago. I bought a twin bed (mattress, box spring, base support etc, and headboard) from Sleepys here on Long Island. The problem is with the headboard - a ‘Hamilton Twin’ headboard. The fasteners keep falling out. With any slight movement, they just fall out. They’re small enough that a child could swallow them, and it’s very likely that a child would be the one using a twin bed. I noticed it the day I got the bed. It continued to happen with any movement of the headboard. I called Sleepys - they replaced the headboard. But the problem happens with the replacement also! I suspect that it is a design flaw. I wrote to the Fashion Bed Group explaining this, and asking if they had a ‘fix’ for this problem, but have not heard back from them. Their info is: Fashion Bed Group 5950 W. 51st Street Chicago Illinois 60638 800-825-5233. I am concerned with the safety of this product - if the fasteners simply fall out, and, as I mentioned, a child swallowing the fastener itself. Hope you can look into this matter. Thank you.
