First aid Made Aug 19, 2024, sent to the company Aug 22, 2024, published by CPSC Sep 6, 2024
The product, in the report: Crate and barrel Gas Lift Storage Base size king.
My crate and barrel gas lift bed malfunctions and the gas lift mechanism stops working- causing the bed to aggressively slam shut. My daughter was in the room the first time this occurred and was almost hit on the head by the bed slamming shut. I havent moved the bed- its still in the exact condition and location as when the white glove delivery service for crate and barrel set it up. Crate and barrel has since discontinued all or their gas lift storage bases, which makes me suspect theyre aware of the issues the bed poses and Im not the only one who has had the frame malfunction

No incident, no one hurt Made May 10, 2024, sent to the company May 17, 2024, published by CPSC Jun 3, 2024
The product, in the report: Lafayette king upholstered bed ordered in April 2023. SKU numbers on that date were #151736 and #151723. Headboard, footboard, and sideboards are soft upholstered with beige fabric.
Purchased a king size bed from Crate n Barrel. The receipt shows MTO-mto Lafayette King Upholstered bed lv. After placing a king mattress on bed, there is a 5-6 inch gap between the end of mattress and footboard. Definitely a suffocation hazard for small children to become wedged between the mattress and the soft upholstered footboard. Bed frame is much too large for a standard king mattress. Bed was delivered to our summer cottage but I’m afraid to let children use it.

The product, in the report: Parke Charcoal Twin Bed 206935
So I tried calling yesterday to ask for advice on how to make my son’s bed more stable but I wasn’t able to get a hold of anybody. I’m thinking the call centers are closed due to the pandemic or maybe too busy? Who knows but the issue was that the headboard to his bed was loose where it meets the rails. I just placed it as close to the wall as possible last night but as he was getting up this morning it finally gave up and the rails came off the headboard. Thankfully nothing happened and he is fine we kind of just laughed about it but it could’ve caused some injuries so I thought of calling again today but same thing I can’t get a hold of anybody. I [REDACTED] to see if anybody else had the same issue and how to get it fixed and that’s when I saw that it’s recalled. Will you help with this please? We didn’t even have it a whole year.
