The product, in the report: One Full Size bed frame: Lessio Dark Brown Mid-Century 13.7 in. Solid Wood Frame Full Platform Bed with Wooden Slats, Headboard, Easy Assembly (purchased April 10, 2025) One Queen Size bed frame: Lessio Dark Brown Mid-Century 13.7 in. Solid Wood Frame Queen Platform Bed with Wooden Slats, Headboard, Easy Assembly, Model #CR-007-02HD, Store SKU #1011669503 (purchased April 17, 2025).
In April 2025, I purchased two bed frames of the same model from Home Depot online: one Full Size bed frame (purchased April 10, 2025) and one Queen Size bed frame (purchased April 17, 2025).
On the night of June 23, 2026, the Full Size bed frame experienced a sudden structural failure during normal use. While a [REDACTED] guest was sleeping, the connection between the side rail and the frame unexpectedly separated, causing the bed to collapse. As a result, the guest fell from the bed onto the floor during the night. Fortunately, the guest was not physically injured, but the incident was frightening and created a significant risk of serious injury.
Inspection of the bed frame showed that the side rail connection had failed, rendering the bed completely unusable and unsafe. The bed frame could not be safely repaired and had to be replaced immediately. Because the property is used as a short-term rental, I purchased and installed a replacement bed the following day to provide a safe sleeping arrangement for my guest.
I am also concerned about the safety of the second bed frame because it is the same model, purchased only one week later, and appears to have the same design and construction. I am concerned that it may have the same structural defect and could fail in a similar manner during normal use.
I have photographs of the failed connection, the damaged bed frame, the overall condition of the product, the replacement bed purchase receipt, and documentation related to the guest’s stay. These materials are available upon request.
