The Elderly lady I care for got hung up on the bed rail. She was hanging face down with the center of her body caught on the rail. She was unable to get off and hung like that all night from 11pm until 11am. When I went to check on her she was stiff and cold. I called an ambulance and she was in the hospital 4 days and then in rehab. She is now in the nursing home. She was already in somewhat bad health but this incident hurt her so badly that she has not been able to return to her home.
