The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made May 10, 2011, sent to the company Jun 7, 2019, published by CPSC Jun 2, 2011

The product, in the report: countertop height dinette chair, steel frame, model “Julianna.”

Bought counter-height dinette set from Mor Furniture in Glendale, AZ. After it was delivered we didn’t use it until the next day (May 6th) and at that time we noticed that the chairs were designed in such a way as to cause extreme tipping hazard backwards. We reported this to the store within 3 days after we noticed the problem. We waited for 3 days after problem was found because the dinette set was incomplete and we were told that customer service would call us to arrange delivery of the missing equipment for the table, but they never did. When we reported these chairs to the store as unsafe we were willing to settle for an exchange for different chairs which were not so dangerously overbalanced backwards but were told flatly, no, they would not do that. We now want the store to come and pick up their dangerous chairs and incomplete table. Now, after I cancelled the majority of the rest of my order, the store has offered to exchange the chairs but we have questions about the business integrity and product safety and quality from any of their products and so, do not want any more of their furniture.
