No one hurt Made Feb 3, 2017, sent to the company Mar 3, 2017, published by CPSC Mar 17, 2017
The product, in the report: Outdoor high top dining set purchased from bjs in 2012. The manufacturer is sunjoy. The table is tiled with stone and has a glass center with light. Black metal legs. The chairs have sunbrella seats, black metal base legs, swivel and frame, with a circular design at the top of each chair. This was sold as a set. There is no model number or other markings by the manufacturer on the set.
We have had the patio set for 4 years, the swivel chairs from the outdoor dining set have broken where the base is welded to the seat. Both my husband and myself have fallen. 2 chairs are broken completely. One is cracked at the weld and the fourth is ok for now.
We contacted the manufacturer but they refuse to acknowledge a defect in their product and would like us buy new chairs that are the same design.
