The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

Made Jan 12, 2017, sent to the company Feb 1, 2017, published by CPSC Feb 22, 2017

The product, in the report: Office chair - brown. Sold by OneBigOutlet and labeled with their own name or Bellize as the maker

A new office chair snapped apart at the arms (which hold the back to the seat base). The arms were plastic, and inspection of the broken arm revealed the plastic had air bubbles formed within it, leaving the part hollow in places, instead of a solid as a structural/weight bearing part should be.

It’s being sold on Amazon by the seller OneBigOutlet out of California. It’s also being sold on eBay and this seller/manufacturer’s website.

Numerous others have had the same experience, with the same part breaking within a very short time.

The seller is aware that customer’s are having this defective chair break beneath them, and continues to sell or. I have the broken item still, as well as images of the faulty part.
