A portion of the office chairs’ base supporting a caster boke off, while a relative sat in it.The chair must be supported by all five casters. The chair is a Gruga U.S.A. dba Novimex Fashion ltd. product that was purchased at Sam’s Club. This chair’s item number is 7950693-kN, SKU 751486. There is an additional number on the cushion tag A501180.
The CPSC announced a recall of chairs by this manufacturer sold at Staples years ago. Sept. 21, 2004 Release # 04-218.
