Emergency room Made Feb 17, 2012, sent to the company Feb 28, 2012, published by CPSC Mar 20, 2012
The product, in the report: Pottery Barn Kids My First Table and Chairs -- Pair of chairs intended for toddlers.
My 14-month old daughter received Pottery Barn Kids’ My First Table and Chairs as a gift. Five minutes after pulling the chair from the box, she tripped and hit her forehead on the corner of the chair. The injury required a trip to the emergency room and five stitches. The corners and edges on the table and on the chairs are sharp -- much sharper than one would expect on an item intended for toddlers and much sharper than the corners on Pottery Barn’s tables and chairs intended for older children, which all have rounded corners and edges. I have since put corner bumpers on the table.
