The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Made Nov 27, 2024, sent to the company Jan 24, 2025, published by CPSC Feb 7, 2025

The product, in the report: office chair

If there is too much weight on the front of the chair, it tilts.

The 64” tall, 130 lbs., consumer may have had her ankles crossed and underneath the front of the chair. When she leaned forward, she was thrown from the chair. The consumer did not feel pain, while at the doctor, but on the way home, her shoulder and back began to ache. Eventually, her back pain went away, but both of her shoulders continue to ache.

The consumer said the floor may have had a hard surface with carpet covering it.

5/16/2024: This happened in a doctor’s office ([REDACTED]), when she took her sister for a doctor’s visit.

She also found out that the doctor office purchased 4 of these chairs in a pack but returned them after her incident.

The consumer contacted 2 lawyers, but both dropped her case.

The insurance company for the doctor’s office told her that they would cover up to $10,000.00 towards her injury.

11/6/2024: The consumer had surgery on her left shoulder, after attempting therapy and taking pain shots for a while. In a few weeks/months, she will have surgery on the other shoulder.
