On January 3, 2016 I purchased the McLeland Design Ashdale 5-pc. Patio Set from Fingerhut. The packaged arrived in the middle of January and was stored inside at the warehouse in my office (Las Vegas, NV) until the middle of April 2016. In April, I assembled the furniture at my residence where it was stored and used outside. On June 30, 2016, I was sitting in one of the four chairs (which comes with the set when) when the chair suddenly collapsed. I fell to the ground striking my head and elbow while landing on my tailbone. When I looked carefully at the chair, it appears the welds to the chairs had become rusted underneath the chair. The rust was not visible from the outside, and was only visible from the inside.

I immediately contacted Fingerhut and reported the damage as well as the fact I was hurt. Their response was that this fell outside of the refund period.

The rust on this was concealed, and this seriously is an accident waiting to happen. The retailer manufactures this furniture themselves, and it is obvious they have no interest in dealing with this problem.
