No one hurt Made May 27, 2022, sent to the company Jun 8, 2022, published by CPSC Jun 24, 2022
The product, in the report: The Varnell La-Z-Boy® Executive Chair features exceptional comfort, quality and style–the perfect addition to any home or office. This comfortable executive chair features unique EZ™ tool-free assembly. Upholstered in a soft and supple bonded leather with contrasting double-stitched seams, the back and seat feature generously contoured plush cushions. Within the seat lies Comfort Core® layered seat construction that provides an unparalleled comfort experience.
I was using the lazy boy desk chair when all the sudden I leaned back and heard a click followed by a thud. I ended up on the floor as the pins that hold the back of the chair to the arms went through the arms of the chair causing the back of the chair to pivot 180 degrees at the lower back. No injuries was occurred but this is a product that I purchased in January of 2022 and want to report the possible failure as others who weigh more then I do (195 lbs) could be seriously harmed.

Hurt, no treatment Made Mar 22, 2019, sent to the company Apr 1, 2019, published by CPSC Apr 22, 2019
The product, in the report: LA-Z-Boy lift chair Style # 2BL796 SKU # S1L012175 ACK/Line/Item 1811270923-001-001
I purchase a LA-Z-Boy lift chair for my wife because she had a stroke and is pearlized on the left side. We purchase it from LA-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, [REDACTED]. After delivery and using we had incident that the chair would tip forward causing my wife to fall on the floor if the foot rest were fully extended. We have had three additional issues of this incident occurring and she had slit injured of her right hand to break her fall. I complain to the store management but they stated it was weight distribution problem and if not setting properly it could cause this issue. I called the manufacturer at 855 802 6636 with this complaint and they assigned case number [REDACTED] and had the store management dispatch a technician to investigate issue. Conclusions was for me to pay the difference for an upgrade chair that would not tip forward with foot reast fully extended. The chair style is # 2BL796. The SKU # S1L012175.
