The product, in the report: Folding aluminum lawn chair
We were visiting my deceased mother-in-law’s home in Virginia to empty the house prior to its sale.
We were preparing to open a yard sale for the day.
i unfolded a webbed lawn chair (one she had bought, and I don’t know exactly where or when) and placed it on the driveway, which is flat asphalt. I picked up my book on the ground and turned around and gently sat down. The chair immediately broke into two pieces and collapsed under me, sending me butt first to the pavement, where my coccyx (lower back) landed on the aluminum tube that connected chair legs underneath the chair. Apparently the two white plastic arms of the chair both snapped in two when I sat down. During the event, as I fell, some piece of the chair whacked my right knee and left what might be a bone chip that makes the skin poke out.
The chair has a Kmart label on it with the following information: Dept: 28 2-6 KSN: 0-960238-1 The bar code number is 7 13022 59012 0 The price marked is $19.99
I am male, 64 years old, 5 ft 11 inches tall and weigh 150 pounds.
