The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Brown executive chair

Purchased a chair from WayFair manufactured by Inbox Zero SKU W005759556. I’m an average sized person, weighing approximately 165-170 lbs, and have been this size during the entire time I owned this chair. I purchased the chair on October 27, 2020. I used the chair as my normal office chair from Nov 2020- February 2022, then again from Nov 2022-Jan 2023 (gap due to using the sun room for work from home, and using the office chair there while I worked from the sunroom). In Jan of 2023, while sitting normally, the chair suddenly jerked back, almost causing me to flip out of it. I turned the chair upside down and found that the metal snapped in two. By the looks of the snap it appears to be a manufacturing defect.
