Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 1, 2020, sent to the company Apr 9, 2020, published by CPSC Apr 23, 2020
The product, in the report: This is an armless, swivel, executive chair that has fabric upholstery and features a height adjustment. It is mounted to a 5 arm base on wheels. It is blue in color.
This desk chair is only used by my wife and me while using our desktop computer station. On one occasion, I leaned back to stretch and the back of the chair gave way causing me to fall backwards while sitting in the chair. I bumped the back of my head on our carpeted floor but did not sustain a severe enough injury to seek medical attention. The chair back remains loose and does not support even mild pressure when leaning against it.
We received a recall notice for this chair, however ours was outside the manufacturer dates within which the recall applies. Additionally, we have had no problems with the chair base which is the underlying issue for the recall.
