  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jul 31, 2026, sent to the company Aug 14, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 31, 2026

The product, in the report: Electric Nail Salon Foot Spa Pedicure Chair with Massage Function, Black leather, heavy-duty commercial equipment with armrests, footrest bowl, and manicurist stool set.

The internal metal structural support within the pedicure chair armrest suffered a severe fatigue failure, snapping completely at the load-bearing weld joint during normal commercial use in a nail salon. This collapse caused the client to suddenly lose balance, posing a severe fall, entrapment, and impact injury risk. Inspection revealed substandard structural welding, thin metal gauge, and lack of internal reinforcement. Additionally, the supplier engaged in bait-and-switch misrepresentation, substituting advertised models with non-compliant, unsafe equipment.
