The product, in the report: Living Spaces Felix dining set. Approx 8 ft long extention toasted natural oak dining table and 8 cushioned dining chairs, light wood table and legs, light beige colored padded chairs. SKU 284955
My 6-year-old child was injured on 10/14/2025 after coming into contact with a sharp metal wire protruding from the underside of a dining chair purchased from Living Spaces (Felix dining set, purchased 03/04/2023). My child was crawling under the chair when the exposed metal caused a deep laceration to the lower back. Upon inspection, multiple chairs in the set were found to have the same exposed metal defect, creating a hidden laceration hazard during normal household use. The injury required immediate first aid at home and medical evaluation at urgent care on 10/15/2025. The physician noted that stitches would likely have been required if the wound had not already been closed. Antibiotics were prescribed due to infection risk. The hazard consists of sharp, exposed metal components on the underside of seating furniture that are not visible during normal use but can easily contact a child during routine movement or play.
