The product, in the report: Office Desk Chair
Three of four years ago I purchased a desk chair from Staples. I was sitting in the chair at my desk when I heard a noise . The chair tilted to the right and the chair dropped to the lowest position. Upon inspection of the chair I found a metal plate under the bottom of the seat had cracked. The chair was not abused or misused during the time I had it and I am the only user of the chair. I am 78 years old and weigh 165 pounds. I took pictures of the chair to Staples and the store manager said there was nothing they could do since it was beyond their warranty and I did not know the SKU number. This is a dangerous situation and the sudden fracture of this metal plate could have thrown me to the floor causing injury. The chair was manufactured by: Cyrus Business Furniture 4041 Via Oro Long Beach, Ca 90810
