Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Apr 16, 2012, sent to the company May 8, 2012, published by CPSC May 29, 2012

The product, in the report: Floor Lamp, 150 watt

The consumer says the socket exploded in flames and started a fire inside the lamp shade with flames about a foot and a half tall. He says the bulb was on for approximately 30-45 minutes prior to the incident. The consumer says about a year ago he realized if the three way bulb was on it wouldn’t turn on or off so they replaced the 150 watt bulb to a 100 watt bulb. The consumer contacted the manufacturer and left a voice mail today. He took the lamp outside and poured water on it.

UPDATE: Please note: 1) Lamp returned to uttermost 4/17/12 for inspection 2) I contacted Uttermost 4/16/12 3) Bulb lodged in socket and returned to Uttermost, what remains of it
