We opened this gift, put in six new AA alkaline batteries, turned on the light box and it immediately started smoking, followed within a few seconds by me noticing an orange flame inside the box. I took the item outside, turned it off, quickly popped out a couple of the batteries and blew on the smoking area until I could no longer see an orange flame.
