The product, in the report: CUSTOMER SERVICE: I recently purchased and opened this carton, shipped from Distribution Center, 3820 Micro Drive, Millington TN 38053 $94.94 -- Please credit back to my credit card. Magnifying Floor Lamp SKU # 200370-01 UPC: 0896368001502 Customer [REDACTED] Reference # [REDACTED] Last week I was planning to deliver this lamp to my elderly mother who is frail & lives alone. It was to be a surprise for her for Mother’s Day. I unpacked the product and had it and the box & packing foam in the back end of my station wagon. My car was parked inside my garage. I left the back gate open, and was loading up her hot food and some other things to deliver to her. I was inside my house (attached garage) for no longer than 8 - 10 minutes when I smelled smoke, which quickly became stronger & stronger. I thought that neighbors were perhaps burning leaves or ?? Imagine my shock & horror, when I went out to my car with a kettle of hot food, and I saw heavy smoke billowing out of the back of my car!!!!!!! In that short time, less than 10 minutes, the mirror must have caught sunlight & started the shipping box on fire, melted a big hole in the Styrofoam into the carpeting of my station wagon, AND left about 7 burned melted areas in my car’s carpeting over the expanse of an area 14 x 16 inches wide. I am left with these permanent deep blackened burn areas in my vehicle’s carpeting. These burns now hard as rocks. HOWEVER, I seriously question the safety of a product that caused this much damage in such a short time. My mother could have sustained serious injury and/or death by fire had this occurred inside her home. She could have lost her home as well. She lives alone, has [REDACTED], and could not have exited the house on her own. I would like a full refund of this product. I am shipping it back to the Distribution Center today. I was billed $94.94 for this item. I am returning it in the original cartons, so that you can see for yourselves what damage was done to the shipping materials. The burn hole in the exterior box is 5” x 3”, and the Styrofoam melted-burned area is 6” x 6”. This is obviously a very dangerous and unsafe product and should be pulled off the market immediately!
