Manufacturer/brand: Lite Source, Inc. (distributor)
Retailer: Bed, Bath, & Beyond
Purchase date: December 10, 2025
Incident date: early February 2026 after approximately 1 month of use from about January 10 to about February 10
Incident report: While operating the dimming knob of the Sailee Arch Lamp, the unit delivered a sharp physical electric shock to my hand. Immediately following the shock, the integrated LED began flickering constantly and failed to reach full brightness; at times, too, the lamp would begin self-dimming on its own. I unplugged the unit to prevent a potential fire hazard or further injury.
The product was purchased online from Bed, Bath, & Beyond on December 10 and was in use for approximately one month before failure occurred. The distributor, Lite Source, Inc., has stated to me that they do not handle customer claims directly and pointed me back to the retailer (which had initially pointed me to the distributor). The retailer has refused to address this safety hazard, citing a standard 30-day return policy.
