The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: SAFAVIEH Lighting Collection Suna Modern Brass Globe 21-inch Table Lamp with USB Charging Port, Ideal for Living Room, Bedroom, Nightstand, Home Office, Dorm

I purchased a desk lamp from Amazon with a glass globe shade that attaches to the socket with with the socket facing downward, which sits on the arm of the lamp. When I received the lamp in the original packaging, I needed to screw in a lightbulb and then screw in the glass globe into section around the socket. While doing so, the metal part of the glass globe/shade detached and remained inside the lamp. Dried glue was visible on the metal. There was nothing else securing the glass shade, which again sits high up facing down, other than some glue which couldn’t even hold onto it while I screwed it in. This is a hazard because the heavy glass globe could fall out at any time.
