The product, in the report: Joe LED Mini Clamp Lamp, Model # NHCLP-JO-WH, made by Newhouse LIghting

I received delivery on 3.5.25 of the Newhouse Lighting Joe LED Mini Clamp Lamp - Model # NHCLP-JO-WH, that I purchased online from Home Depot. I returned the lamp to Home Depot for a full refund because the lamp is defective. When I took the lamp out of the box, plugged it in and activated the “on switch” (according to the instructions), the lamp head exploded with a loud bang. The plastic lamp cover and bulb blew out and flew about a foot across the table. This was a scary moment and I was fortunate not to be injured by the flying parts.

I have requested a refund from Home Depot and will be returning the lamp this week. Given the above circumstances, I believe that this product is dangerous and could cause physical injury to a person if their face or body happened to be in close proximity to the parts when it exploded. I also copied Home Depot on the email to Newhouse Lighting, reporting this incident.

Please contact Newhouse Lighting ([REDACTED]) to request that they cease the sale of this product and take immediate steps to make sure that this lamp is carefully inspected and avoid selling it again without confirmation that it is safe.

    Thank you very much.
