The product, in the report: The product is the Govee Floor Lamp 2, however, the power supply was the part that caught fire. It is labeled as Govee Class 2 Power Supply Model BI48G-240200-AdU. The power supply also list the name “Dong Guan Royal Intelligent Co., Ltd”.

On November 11th, the power supply (Model No. BI48G-240200-AdU) for our Govee Floor Lamp 2 caught fire while in use. We initially plugged in the lamp on November 4th, and it functioned normally until today. The incident occurred while the lamp was powered on, with no unusual conditions or modifications to its use.

Suddenly, the lamp began changing colors erratically, accompanied by a strong smell of burning plastic. Upon inspection, we saw a flame, approximately 2 to 4 inches high, emanating from the power supply. Thankfully, we were in the room and could quickly unplug the device and extinguish the fire. No injuries occurred in this instance, but had we not been present, the fire could have spread.

The product was used precisely as intended, without any alterations or abnormal conditions, raising serious safety concerns about the power supply unit’s integrity and reliability.
