The product, in the report: Brass Candelabra buffet lamp marble bass

The table lamp was plugged into a bedroom wall socket when brought home after purchase. On the date of the incident, it was turned on for a period of between 5-10 minutes by its rheostat. When I went to turn it off the Rheostat was hot to the touch, I dropped it and called my spouse over to look at it. In the minute it took for my spouse to get to the lamp the rheostat started to smoke. The lamp was then unplugged and monitored until the rheostat had cooled. Lamp was purchased at Ethan Allan and used intermittently for around 3 months at the time of the incident. Model 09-6539 date code [REDACTED] identification [REDACTED] UL file NO:[REDACTED].
