The product, in the report: ADJUSTABLE FLOOR LAMP
Assembled the ‘Self assembly’ package to the instruction manual. Plugged the lamp into outlet, switched it on and it blew the house fuse. Unplugged the lamp inspected critical areas of the assembly to find the ‘Ball swivel joint’ was cutting through the wiring, exposing it to the frame. Poor Design: Unsafe operational swivel joint. On closer inspection it could be seen that the ball swivel joint containing the wiring allowed the wires passing through the assembly to be severed easily by the sharp edges of the ball joint as it was swiveled to adjust the lamp shade.
