No incident, no one hurt Made Dec 7, 2021, sent to the company Dec 9, 2021, published by CPSC Dec 23, 2021
The product, in the report: This is the mushroom lamp, “ANGTUO Baby LED Mushroom Night Lamp”: [REDACTED] This is the bear [REDACTED] Bear Kids Night Light,: [REDACTED] Here is another example of a light with the same type of remote, ANGTUO LED Wooden Night Light [REDACTED]
I have a two different color-changing LED lamps that have similar remote controls to turn them on and off to change the color. They have soft silicone coverings shaped like a mushroom and a bear; one I bought as a nursery night light, the other was later bought for my son as a toy. I am concerned because the remote has a button battery/watch battery that is very easy to remove. When my son was 4 he removed the battery from the mushroom lamp remote totally by accident, it basically fell out while he was handling the remote. It would have been very easy for him or a younger child to ingest the battery. Luckily, no one was hurt. I am concerned because I have noticed that there are a large number of LED lights for sale on Amazon, etc, that all use a very similar looking remote--even though the event of concern was a while back, I still see these products on the market.
