  1. First aid

Made May 9, 2013, sent to the company May 28, 2013, published by CPSC Jun 11, 2013

The product, in the report: Black Faux Suede Futon

Caller states that she purchased a futon from retailer named on January 27th, 2012 and that she contacted the retailer after putting the legs on and setting it up because it appeared to tip easily and that she believed it was due to the legs being too far inward from the corners to have complete balance. The legs are 14 1/2 inches inward from the corner with nothing else to stabilize the unit. Retailer stated that they were entering this information to the computer and provided her with case# [REDACTED].

In April 8th, 2013 the caller was sitting at the end of the futon when for no apparent reason it flipped over causing the caller to hit her right shin bone. She states that she cleaned her shin where there was a three inch cut then bandaged it. She did not require medical attention.

She contacted the retailer/distributor again April 8th, 2013, informed them of her injury and requested that she be able to return the futon and obtain a refund. She was advised that they were taking the information and would contact her shortly, they still have not contacted her again.

She is reporting this futon because a child or an elderly person could be injured seriously.

She would like to see this futon recalled for reinvention of balance.
