The product, in the report: Square D Electrical Panel date 223231
Our electrical panel is currently not the subject of the Square DO panel recall, but is just outside of the date and should be part of the recall. Our electrical panel is NOT SAFE and buzzing electricity. The electrician said he is shocked its not part of the recall because it is doing the exact same thing as the recalled panels!

Purchased a house that was built between 2019-2020 with a SquareD breaker box. Had an issue so electrician came to the house, inspected the box, and thermal camera indicated the entire box was overheated. It was an “emergency” situation since some of the breakers were tripped so I had no HVAC for over 24hours. Electricians came out the next day to replace main panel in garage, install all new AFCI and GFCI breakers, and install surge protector. I had called Schneider customer service to inquire about the issue and the technician was very dismissive. We were on the phone for 30min and he was difficult to understand and kept asking me for a number which I couldn’t find and he wasn’t helpful giving me directions where to find it. He eventually said he was going to go home for the day and he’d call me in the morning which is too late since I already had the electrician scheduled to replace my box that morning. I kept the old breaker box for inspection and was wondering if someone can come out to the house and inspect the box and explain why this one isn’t covered under the recall since it is the exact same issue.

The product, in the report: Scheider Electrical Panel model QO142M200P and plant code 15
I had an electrical panel by Snyder electric that started to sizzle, blew several fuses and caused a small fire. I had to pay $1500 out of pocket for a temporary repair. When I contacted Snyder, they sent out the kit for the internal parts to be replaced and said someone will be out to install it. Also, I was told that a case was submitted to assist me with getting reimbursed for the funds spent for the emergency repairs. This was all started back on October 3, 2022 and I still have not heard back from anyone on the repairs or reimbursement. Can someone please help me with this? Thank you in advance.

The product, in the report: Breaker box panels: QOC30UF
I was contacted by Schneider Electric and informed that my electrical panels were part of the recall. I have lights in my house blinking on and off. Some have stopped working altogether. I am concerned the blinking/not working lights are related to power surge issues due to the electrical panes. I have made several attempts to get my panes checked, but have not been able to get anyone to my house.

The product, in the report: Schneider (Square D) Homeline circuit breaker panel Cat No HOM2175SB
We were informed of a Schneider circuit breaker panel recall of its QO line when we experience serious rusting and overheating in our Schneider breaker panel, which was only installed 1.5 years ago. Our panel is a Homeline panel and not part of the recall, however the manufactured date code matches the QO recall. We are having to pay out of pocket for a full replacement, and in the meantime, less than half of our house has electricity.

The product, in the report: Electrical disconnect box
On Sunday September 25 2016, a fire was reported at [REDACTED] in Knox County, Tennessee. Fire was determined to have started in a electrical disconnect box for the HVAC unit. 5 other boxes also showed similar damage from a high resistance heating connection where the breaker snaps onto the bus bars. All units were installed in 1990 and were Square D model QO200TR with 30 amp breakers installed.

No one hurt Made Apr 24, 2012, sent to the company May 1, 2012, published by CPSC May 31, 2012
The product, in the report: Square D (now Schneider Electric) 20A GFI Circuit Breaker, combined with electrician miswiring (loose neutral) because wire clamp screw on breaker was impossible to get loose. Replacement Breaker said Square D QO120GFI Qwik-Gard 20A, 10kA (air) Breaker.
Please SEE ATTACHMENTS for information about how the clamp for attaching the neutral wire to a GFI circuit breaker was screwed down so tight that no human could get it loose with hand tools. The electrician (new construction 5 years ago) apparently got inventive and jammed the wire in between the circuit breaker body and the screw head. This finally led to heating and crisping of the neutral wire’s insulation, a fire hazard that I discovered just in the nick of time.
