The product, in the report: Siemens circuit breaker
I had problems with lights flickering in my home. After checking outlets and switches I went to the main entrance in the garage. I have a 200 amp siemens entrance panel with a100 amp amp sub feed to the house. As I was checking the incoming voltage on the main breaker , I noticed stray blue voltage coming from under the 100 amp sub feed breaker. At this time I focused my attention on this breaker and found it to be loose where it connects to the bus bar.
At this time I shut off the main and removed it for inspection and found the feed terminals were both loose causing a poor connection to the bus bar. The lugs on the bus bar showed signs of overheating from arcing . At this time I went to Home Depot and purchased another 100 amp breaker and installed it and remedied the problem. I then found info about a recall on Siemens 15 - 50 amp breakers being faulty. I would like you to know it is also the 100 amp version also. This is a model Q2100 with a date code 0300.

The product, in the report: Siemens panel 2 pole 40 amp breaker type QP, date label burnt off 200 amp main type EQ6895
- our home has a 200 amp electrical panel - we noticed smoke coming from the panel at about 5:30pm 1/11/2018 - I opened the panel and turned off the main breaker before a fire started - the bottom left 2 pole 40 amp had heated up, melted, and caused other adjacent breakers to begin heating up - the bus bar got hot as a result of the breaker heating up and begin to melt the plastic panel board framework - the fire department checked for hot spots - the 20 pole 40 amp was hot and the 200 amp main was hot - the power company was told to come pull the meter and I was given instruction to have the panel replaced

The product, in the report: Siemens breaker panel and 20Amp circuit breaker
On July 18,16 we finally found the problem to what was causing our GFI circuit breakers from constantly tripping. This problem with the GFI breakings tripping has been going on about 2 weeks. Once we determined what was causing the GFI breakers to trip we started to have major power problems in part of out kitchen. In 2010 our whole apartment was gutted. All new electrical wires and a new breaker panel was installed. Once it was determined that one of the Siemens 20Amp circuit breakers’ had burnt contacts on the breaker and the stab of the buss bar. The power in the affected area was dropping to around 70VAC. Appliance’s don’t work well with this level of voltage. We have a damage microwave oven, coffee pot, remote appliance modules and a WiFi remote access point. I have been in contact with Siemens about the problem and I recently sent an email requesting some type of up date. The reference number of the case with Siemens is [REDACTED]. On your website you have listed a problems with these breaker but are under a different date code “Release #10-354”. The date code on my problem breaker is 0110. My concern is about a fire, I am a disabled veteran with mobility issues and with other family members in the 3 apartment house with disability issues, safety is a major concern now. I do have pictures of the problem but they are large in size in order to see the problem clearly. If you want the pictures just email me and I will sent them to you. But it will take several emails to get them all to you. If you want or need additional information email me and I will send you the information you want. I hope this information is getting to you because this is the third time and last time that I am going to type it up because the information keeps disappearing.

The product, in the report: 200 amp main circuit breakers
Caller filed online incident report 12/09/2014 that wouldn’t complete.
Siemen’s 200 amp main circuit breaker, model number and serial number not available at this time but information will be populated by caller before he returns his report. In 2010 CPSC recalled 2.2 million circuit breakers of various sizes.. Circuit breakers are four years old, installed in 2010 with no problems noted until caller was attempting to power his generator during a power outage on November 27th, 2014 and could not shut the breaker off in order to supply power to his home through the generator. The 200A breaker was confirmed defective by a licensed Electrician (Navsbaum Electric Perry N.H.)
He is reporting this incident as a fire hazard because the breaker would not shut off.
There have been no incidents of injury known at this time
The manufacturer was contacted sometime around December 1st, 2014 and consumer was informed that he should return the breaker.
He has already returned the breaker to the distributor and so cannot return it to the manufacturer.

The product, in the report: 2 pole Type QP 30A circuit breaker
Siemens circuit breaker-- double 30A “2 pole Type QP” Household use-- connected to air conditioner. One pole tripped, but did not cause second pole to trip. The product, in the report: Siemens Manufactured Housing Load Center Model #M1020MB1100F Series C Type 1
I have a Siemens Load Center Model # M1020MB1100F in my home. I have had to replace three breakers (all three were quad breakers) due to the spring clips on the back of them losing connection with the buss bar and arcing. This breaker box has aluminum bus bars. The most frequent completely burned up the stab on the breaker box to the point it can not be used again. It also destroyed the breaker. I think this is directly related to the recall that I have read about but the recall does not list this breaker as one of concern. I do believe that this is a concern worth checking into. Thanks

The product, in the report: Siemens electrical panel
On Saturday, 7-28-12 I lost partial power to my pole barn. I went to my main fuse panel in the house and heard electrical sparking. I removed the face panel and could hear it was coming from a 60 amp breaker which fed my pole barn. I put a screwdriver on one of the screws and tightened and the sparking went away. On 7-29-12 at appx 6pm my compressor in the barn kicked on and I heard a loud crack. All of my power in the barn was out. I went downstairs to look at my panel. There was black residue on the panel cover. I removed the panel cover and noticed that both of the legs were black and the 60 amp breaker was tripped and angular. I checked voltage and there was none at the 60 amp breaker. I pulled the 60 amp breaker out, for replacement purposes, and the panel began to arc. I tried to pull the main, 200 amp breaker but it would not move. The panel is on fire and electricity continues to flow into the panel. The wires and breakers were burning. I used two fire extinguishers on the fire. The fire department responded and pulled the meter. If I had not been home I am sure the house would have caught on fire. Luckily the damage, smoke, was confined mostly to the basement of my home. I still have the damaged panel in my possession.

The product, in the report: Siemens circuit breaker, date code: 0501; Model: EQ9675; 120/240 volt; 100 amps.
Recently my husband & I were experiencing multiple electrical problems throughout our house. My husband heard electrical zapping coming from the circuit box. Upon checking the circuit box, we discovered electricity arcing several times a minute while we stood & watched. The circuit breaker had sustained burn damage & the red dividing clip had melted quite a bit. The breaker has been replaced & we haven’t experience any more problems. The date code on our bad breaker is 0501. We experienced the same issues as the recently recalled 2010 breakers.
