The product, in the report: Circuit breaker and load center that electrical contractor supplied and installed.
As I was opening and closing circuit breakers in our house’s panel to try to find which one the dishwasher was on, when I closed one it made a buzzing/arcing noise. I turned it off again and pulled the breaker from the panel to investigate. Its contacts were pitted and there was loose metal pieces inside its case. Our electrical panel was upgraded in 2015 from 100 to 200 amps. It’s a Murray (Siemens) MP120 breaker in a Murray LC3040B1200 Load Center. No injuries, but if I hadn’t heard the arcing and the breaker was left on, this could have led to smoke and/or possibly a fire. I definitely have concerns about all of the other breakers in the panel.
