The product, in the report: electrical panel installed in home

We recently moved into a rental home...the first time in over 20 years and didn’t think twice about the electrical panel box. We were gone for the weekend and came home to a furnace that wasn’t working. Called the landlord and he sent out a heater repairman. He said the unit wasn’t getting any power, so they called in an electrician. The electrician came and preceded to open the electrical panel box and discovered the fuse (if that’s still what it’s called) for the heater was completely burned up. He told us that this could of caught the house on fire. He also told us that the whole panel box should be replaced as they were known to malfunction. He said look up “GTE Sylvania Zinsco Electrical Panel” on [REDACTED] and said we would find all sorts of scary info. The electrician took an unused fuse in the box and replaced the one that was burnt. I am in the process of notifying our property managers about this safety issue and am hoping that they replace the whole panel.
