    The product, in the report: Cutler-Hammer Type BR250 50 amp double pole breaker 7 86676 36305 1

Hello: I have two 200 amp boxes made by [REDACTED] in my residence. This week, we had two breakers melt and come apart. One was a 30 amp double pole that is apx 22 years old. The other was a 50 amp double pole that is apx 5 years old. Thankfully, we had turned one of the breakers off and when we turned it back on, we heard a noise and immediately turned it off. When it was removed, the damage was identified on one leg of the 30 amp breaker. On closer inspection, the 50 amp breaker across the buss bar from it was in even worse shape. I came out of the box in pieces with parts remaining attached to the buss bar. This was a life threatening failure and we were fortunate to find these failures by coincidence and not by a tragic loss of property and possible life. I understand that some panels and breakers were under a recall during the time frame of these products being manufactured but the numbers on these boxes do not appear on the list I was able to locate. I would like for someone to know that these did the exact same thing that the other boxes were recalled for even though they did not appear on the list I was able to locate. Please contact me to let me know who I need to contact to let them know of this dangerous hazard. Thanking you, [REDACTED]
